About DiarSafe

DiarSafe contains pure Saccharomyces boulardii, a natural and safe probiotic yeast with extensive scientific research and documentation on its benefits in supporting bowel health, comfort and function.

S. boulardii has been internationally acclaimed as the number one probiotic for diarrhoea - to reduce discomfort and urgency and restore regular bowel movements.

DiarSafe extra strength S. boulardii is a natural probiotic food supplement and NOT an antidiarrhoeal or anti-motility medicine – it will not artificially reduce the muscular contractions of the intestine to stop diarrhoea. It is a completely natural probiotic food supplement offering support for bowel health and comfort.

How does DiarSafe work?

Saccharomyces boulardii – a unique probiotic yeast which is sold widely in the US, Scandinavia, Germany & France. S. boulardii has undergone extensive clinical research proving its ability to flush out pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli and salmonella and it's therapeutic benefits against diarrhoea.

DTECTA guarantees 5 billion live micro-organisms per DiarSafe vegetarian capsule until the best before date.

Background Information

Diarrhoea can be defined as an increase in the frequency and amount of loose stools. It can be caused by a virus or bacteria – usually due to the ingestion of contaminated drinking water, undercooked meat and eggs or poor standards of hygiene.

If these situations occur, the body’s reaction is twofold - Introduce large amounts of water into the large intestines, and make the intestines more active by contracting frequently and irregularly, in order to flush out irritable micro-organisms, which results in diarrhoea.
